If you’ve been checking out BzzAgents Reviews to find out if it’s worth your time, you’ve come to the right place.
I have personally read through dozens of BzzAgent reviews. And I’ve come away with some valuable information.
In this review, I will walk you through how the company came about, the business model, and if it’s a legitimate platform.
Sound good? Let’s begin.
What Is BzzAgent?
BzzAgent is a community of people who share their opinions on various products and services for many popular brands from around the world. The goal is to help consumers make more informed purchases.
This platform works with a variety of the world’s leading consumer brands and has annual revenues of $27.5 million. Excluding agents, they have around 75 employees.
The company has partnered with brands such as:
- And more…
Word of mouth marketing is an important strategy in today’s marketing world. Essentially, the way it works is a company increases support for their brand by sending out free samples to people in a certain age, gender, and lifestyle group.
These people in return make posts on Social media with photos of them holding the product and reviewing it. These posts will influence a few more people and maybe lead to shares on social media. And so on and so forth.
The nice thing about this is, for virtually nothing you have made an impact in the marketplace.
Why is it so important to get these personal messages out? The answer is because people trust their friends more than they trust advertisements.
If their friend, they have a real person and not a corporation telling them something. And they are more likely to believe it.
According to a study by Nielsen, 90% of people will believe what their friends say above what a corporation says.
Some individuals excel at this and become real influencers. Companies like BzzAgent are looking for their members to create good and believable reviews. These people are sent more and more products to review.
As I mentioned, BzzAgent is an international group of agents who share opinions and experience on a range of consumer goods with others. These agents do not get paid for their reviews.
NOTE: You can not earn income from this site for reviews and sharing your experiences and opinions.
When Was BzzAgent Founded?
BzzAgent was founded by David Balter in 2001 who is based in Boston, US. In 2018, PowerReviews acquired Bzzagents from Dunnhumby. The price was not disclosed.
Just to give you a little background on the company, originally it was bought by the British company Dunnhumby for $60.
Dunnhumby was founded in 1989 by Clive Humby and Edwina Dunn. Between 2001 and 2006 Tesco, the largest supermarket chain in the UK, bought up a large number of shares in Dunnhumby and became sole shareholders.
BzzAgent was one of the early entrants into the field of word-of-mouth-marketing with a massive team of 1 million agents.
How Does BzzAgent Work?
When you join BzzAgent, the company will first send you surveys to complete so that they can learn more about you. They will ask questions about your hobbies, interests, and lifestyle so they can match you up with upcoming campaigns.
If they match you with a new campaign, they will email you information about the campaign and send you a link to the campaign application form.
You will then need to answer the required questions and connect with social media to complete your application.
If you get selected for the campaign after doing the above, then you will be asked to confirm your address. Make sure that you do this correctly and then click on Confirm.
In return for being selected and confirming, you will get a confirmation email saying that your BzzKit is on the way. The BzzKit is the kit that has the samples in it.
When you get the product samples, you’ll need to use it and formulate an opinion on it. You will then receive a Posting Instructions email, which explains what to do and how to post to social media or send a review.
Share Your Opinion
Next you’ll need to post your opinion on Social Media on the product. You’ll want to make sure that you include hashtags and @mentions in your social media activity.
This is how the company knows your activity. The most active reviewers get access to more campaigns.
More than one source has told me that agents who ask questions, or express any negative views, just get blocked without explanation. So on the surface, it appears that the company is more interested in positive reviews.
How To Join BzzAgent
To join, simply link your Facebook on the BzzAgent Join-Now Page or enter your email address to get started.
You will then be sent an email to confirm that your email address is correct. When you confirm, then you are asked to complete a single page form.
How Much Can You Earn With BzzAgent
There is no earnings potential with this company. The most you will receive is occasional free samples from top brands.
So if you like free stuff, then this might be appealing to you. And the more active you are and influential as I mentioned, the more campaigns you will receive, which equals more free product.
Is BzzAgent Legit?
This company is a legitimate platform.
BzzAgent is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau and it does in fact carry an A+ rating overall, which is excellent. The company currently has over 1 million agents.
Although many reviews have seemed to be down on the company, the platform is solid.
One of BzzAgents top competitors is TapInfluence. This company was founded in Florida in 2009. TapInfluence does around $14 million in revenue yearly.
The second biggest competitor to BzzAgent is Linqia. Linqia was founded in 2012 and is based in San Francisco. This company generates $22 million in yearly revenue.
Founded in 2010, Influenster is the number three rival to Bzzagent. They are also smaller than BzzAgent and generate around $13 million per year.
Pros and Cons of BzzAgent
- The company is free to join.
- Earn free products from top brands just for sharing your opinions and experiences.
- Easy work, which just requires posting reviews on social media of products for brands.
- An A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
- If you aren’t active you won’t see many campaigns.
- BzzAgent is only available in the UK, US and Canada.
- Most members complain about not getting campaigns and wasting time on filling out surveys with no campaigns to follow.
- There is a selection criteria for getting campaigns. Not everyone can do this.
- You don’t actually earn cash or rewards for your time with the platform.
With BzzAgent, you basically get free product in exchange for a review and creating buzz on social media for brands.
As you just read, the cons outweigh the pros, which might make this opportunity questionable at the very least. Especially, if you’re looking to earn some cash instead of free products from brands. For that reason sites like Swagbucks or Rakuten might be worth a look.
If getting free product for your time sounds like music to your ears, then I’d say give it a go. But if you’re like me and you value your time, there are better platforms out there for earning some extra cash for your time spent.
